Hosting Keypad rounds without amplifying the laptop’s audio

Introduction

Although the sound effects are an important part of SpeedQuizzing, here is a quick walkthrough on how you can host Keypad games without amplifying the sounds from the computer.

Note: OBVIOUSLY ALL PLAYERS WILL STILL NEED TO HEAR YOUR VOICE!!

Switch to Host Select in Buzzer ID Sounds

• Open SpeedQuizzing Preferences.
• In the Buzzer ID sounds tab, select Host Select.

Note: Preferences can be licated by pressing the three dashes in the top right near the SQPRO logo.

Verbally inform players of countdown time

In the absence of the ten second countdown sound effect, it is important that you announce loud and clear every time you start the “Ten Second” countdown.

Players will then be able to visually see how much time they have left on their screens.
