Lockdown 2: SpeedQuizzing stands in solidarity with the hospitality industry
The new lockdown will undoubtedly negatively impact our business, but our main concern is for our customers operating within the hospitality industry, who are faced with the prospect of once again having to close their doors from Thursday.
Since March, the hospitality industry has worked tirelessly, and at huge cost, to ensure pubs, bars and restaurants are COVID secure, with many going above and beyond. As a result, cases within the sector have been relatively low.
Being told to close again will be a huge hammer blow to many and it’s likely that this action will affect the industry not just over the coming months, but for years to come.
We stand in solidarity with the hospitality industry and the thousands of entertainment professionals across the country who have shown huge spirit and fight in the face of adversity.
We created SpeedQuizzing Live during the first lockdown, to enable pubs, bars and entertainment hosts to continue to generate some much-needed revenue through hosting virtual pub quizzes, and we hope that once again this app and online hosting platform helps to support the industry during this challenging time.
